Edina High School Senior Party 2025
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q. What is the EHS Senior Party?
The Senior Party is a gift to our kids from their parents and guardians and has always been strongly supported by the Edina School District and business community. While the intent of this party is to help keep each of our kids safe after a very emotionally charged day, they'll have a great time, too.
This year’s party takes place on Tuesday June 3rd, 2025, immediately following commencement. Students will be bused from Mariucci Arena to the Mall of America for a private event at Nickelodeon Universe. The party ends at 2:00 AM.
Q. Why is the party not being held at the Edina High School like previous years?
Due to construction constraints at Edina High School, the Parent Committee has worked hard to identify a new space for a fun and memorable party.
Q. Is the party open to the public?
No. The Mall of America building will be closed to the public at the time of the party. Students will be confined to the Nickelodeon Universe park and will not be allowed in any other areas of the mall.
Q. What will my student do at the party?
Students will have access to all age-appropriate rides, the arcade, Fly Over America, food/beverages (LOTS of food and beverage), caricature artists, photo booth, a strolling magician, hypnotist show, as well as some other quiet activities.
Q. Does the party include prize raffles like previous years?
Yes! A tradition at the party has been the much anticipated Prize Room. This is a throw-back to the elementary carnival days of putting your tickets in a bucket to win that much coveted prize – however, with a more practical experience in mind. We aim to give prizes that will be needed as the students begin their journey post high school.
Each student will receive a set number of raffle tickets with their admission to the party.
Q. Are parents able to come to the party?
This event is for students only (sorry, parents!). Due to the new venue and partnership with Mall of America, most of the traditional volunteer roles are not needed this year. However, a small number of volunteers will be helping to make sure the event/prize raffle is run smoothly.
Q. Will my student be safe at the Mall of America?
Yes! This party is designed to provide a fun and safe environment for students to celebrate together after graduation. Four MOA security officers and an Edina Police Department Resource Officer will be present at all times during the event. There will be a zero-tolerance policy for illegal substances, with no exceptions for possession or being under the influence. Additionally, inappropriate or unacceptable behavior, including bullying or fighting, will not be tolerated.
Q. Are tickets required for the Senior Party?
Yes. All Seniors must be registered in advance to enter the party. Tickets are $125 through April 30th. After that the price will be $150.
You can register your student and purchase their ticket here: Party Ticket — Edina Senior Party (No senior is denied entrance due to lack of funds. If you find it difficult to pay the full ticket price, please use the “request a scholarship” option when registering.)
Important: Tickets must be bought by June 1, 2025 (two days prior to the party). No tickets will be sold on the day of the event or at the door.
A big thank you to all those contributing through donations and sponsorships! Thanks to these efforts, we’ve been able to reduce the cost of tickets this year (previously $175).
Q. How will my student get to and from the party?
The newly graduated students will board the buses immediately after commencement. The buses will transport them to the Mall of America for the party and then back to Edina High School at 2:00 am, with an estimated arrival at the Edina High School parking lot around 2:30 am.
Hint: Make sure you have captured all your family graduation pictures before commencement begins as the students are excited and focused on boarding the buses!
Q. What if my student wants to leave the party early?
If your student plans to leave early, you can submit an early release form here for them to be picked up by a pre-approved adult. The pick up door is Level 1 North off of Lindau Lane. Since parents are not allowed inside, the parent will need to alert the student they are there and a chaperone will escort the student to the door.
Q. What does my student need to bring to the party?
Students will need to provide their student ID number at check-in once they arrive at the Mall of America.
Students will need a change of clothes for the Senior party. Items will be placed in a plastic bag with their name and collected by party volunteers as students board the bus after commencement. At the party, they will have the chance to change clothes, place their graduation clothing back in the bag, and retrieve the bag when leaving the event.
Note: Backpacks, belt bags, and purses will not be allowed on the busses or at the party
Q. Does my student need to bring money to the party?
No. All food and entertainment is included in their ticket for the event.
Q. Is EHS continuing the Senior Body Posters tradition this year?
Yes! The tradition of Senior “Bodies” posters lives on but in a new location so that family, friends and community can help celebrate our 2025 grads.
Full body poster senior posters will be displayed at Kuhlman Stadium on Sunday June 1st from 1-4pm and open to the public for viewing. This will also be an opportunity to take pictures of your student in their cap and gown on the field. This is an optional event.
